Inside the American Can Lofts
Did you know? The American Can company didn’t even make cans. They made the machines that made the cans!

I recently found a stack of these handy little transit maps at Rohs Street Cafe.
Created by UC Urban Planning student Nate Wessel, the map shows the most frequent and convenient bus lines all on one map that fits in your pocket. It also has some basic info for the first time transit rider, like fare cost, how to put a bicycle on the bus rack, etc.
I don’t ride transit much at all anymore, but it would have been very nice to have one of these when I was in college.
Go on over to Cincymap.org to download a pdf file of the map, request to have one mailed to you, or better yet donate and help distribute the maps at your business.
Thanks Nate!
These pictures are from a nice little grocery store that specializes in fresh produce and has no frozen section. Do you know what it is?
It is Country Fresh Market on Vine Street in Wyoming.
I really like this store. They carry Water Joe (caffeinated water!) and a bunch of gourmet products, spices, wine and they have a small deli. Try the turkey salad! Tell ‘em overlooked cincinnati sent ya.
Also, contribute to this blog. Just click the about/contribute page in the upper right hand corner and send photos to the email address provided. I wanna know what weird stuff I’m missing!
If you can’t read that, it says “The Bored of Education”. I believe it is on Wheeler Street in Clifton Heights.
